The functioning of the education department in the state has come under scrutiny amid allegations of irregularities in the functioning of private educational institutions. In Uppal Bhagayath, serious allegations have been raised against Sloka School, with parents claiming that the institution is conducting classes beyond the level for which it has reportedly obtained government permission.

According to allegations, the school has been conducting CBSE classes up to Class 10 without the necessary CBSE affiliation or permissions, while the institution is reportedly permitted to operate only up to Class 7 under the State syllabus. Despite this, classes are allegedly being conducted up to Class 10, raising serious questions about regulatory compliance and the academic future of the students enrolled there.

Parents have also alleged that the school is collecting substantial fees by projecting the availability of higher-level and CBSE education, despite questions surrounding the required approvals. If established, such practices could have serious implications for students and their academic progression.

The allegations have also raised questions about the role of the local education authorities. In particular, Uppal MEO Ramarao has come under scrutiny following allegations that the school has been allowed to function despite the reported irregularities. There are also unverified allegations that financial benefits may have been extended to officials to facilitate the continuation of the alleged practices. However, these allegations require an independent and impartial investigation before any conclusion can be reached.

Despite the seriousness of the allegations, questions are being raised over the apparent lack of action by the concerned education authorities. Parents and members of the local community are demanding clarity on the school’s permissions, syllabus affiliation, fee structure and the authority under which classes beyond Class 7 are allegedly being conducted.

The issue has also triggered concerns over the future of hundreds of students. Parents fear that if classes are being conducted without the required statutory approvals or affiliation, students could potentially face difficulties in their academic progression and certification.

Parents are therefore urging senior officials of the Education Department to conduct a comprehensive inquiry into the alleged irregularities at Sloka School, verify the institution’s permissions and affiliations, examine its fee collections and determine whether any officials failed to discharge their regulatory responsibilities.

They have also demanded that, if violations are established, appropriate action be taken against the school management and any officials found responsible for facilitating or overlooking the alleged irregularities.

The allegations against the school and officials should be independently verified, and the concerned school management and officials should be given an opportunity to present their response before any final conclusions are drawn.
